Dual Tunnel Diverter Valve

The dual tunnel diverter valve — also known as the turn-slide valve in STAG AG’s product range — is the preferred diverter for dense phase conveying systems handling abrasive materials. Where conventional flap-type diverters suffer rapid wear and seal failure under abrasive conditions, the turn-slide valve routes material through a continuously sealed bore with no exposed sealing surfaces in the material flow path.

The valve body contains two aligned tunnels — the active tunnel carries material flow, while the inactive tunnel is sealed and isolated from the conveying stream. Switching between destinations is achieved by rotating the valve body, which simultaneously opens one tunnel and seals the other with no interruption to conveying pressure. This design eliminates the primary wear mechanism of conventional diverter valves — the sealing face exposed to abrasive material flow.

Particularly suited to fly ash, raw meal, alumina, coke dust, and other abrasive fine powders where conventional diverter seal life is unacceptably short.

Key Applications: Multi-destination conveying · Silo routing networks · Parallel conveying lines

Materials: Fly ash · Raw meal · Alumina · Coke dust · Abrasive fine powders
