Air Fluidization System

The air fluidization system provides a continuous, low-pressure air supply through a porous floor or membrane fitted to the base of a silo, hopper, or BTAP wagon — converting the stored bulk material from a packed, consolidated state into a fluid-like, easily flowable condition for discharge. Unlike air injection which breaks formed bridges reactively, air fluidization works continuously and preventively — maintaining the material in a fluidised state throughout the discharge cycle.

In BTAP wagon applications, the fluidization system is integral to the wagon design — porous membranes cover the wagon floor, and compressed air supplied from the unloading station fluidises the fly ash or other fine powder, allowing it to be discharged pneumatically through the wagon’s bottom discharge connection in a controlled, continuous flow.

In fixed plant silos and hoppers, fluidization pads or aeration elements are installed in the cone section — maintaining powder mobility at the point where gravity flow transitions to conveying system feed. SaveEco engineers fluidization systems as a standard element of silo design for fine, consolidating materials.
